Gun Drilling Machines
a) Universal Gun Drilling Machine
Universal gundrilling machine offered by radius is of 3 axis configuration and provided with a Servo Motor for spindles with a wide RPM range the machine is equipped with 3 axis CNC control and can process large and heavy components
b) 2 spindle Gun Drilling Machine
2 Spindle gundrilling machines are optimized to allow anyone to bring deep hole drilling into their machine shop. Gundrilling Machine offered by Radius is of single-axis configuration and provided with a Servo motor for spindles with a wide rpm range. The machine is equipped with CNC control and can process small and medium components
c) Micro Gun drilling Machine
Radius has developed CNC micro deep hole drilling machines for production of components of diameter 1 mm to 4 mm. These machines can be made in configuration of 1-4 spindles up to 15000 RPM and coolant pressure of 160 bar and can be customized to suit different customer requirements. These machines are widely used in medical components, fuel injection system and hydraulic system.
Deep Hole Drilling Machine
a) BTA drilling Machine
Radius engineering solutions private limited has in its facility a BTA drilling machine for subcontract and jobwork.
BTA is a deep hole drilling process that uses a specialized drilling tool on a long drill tube to produce deep holes in metal, from holes with a diameter of 30 mm to diameter 200mm and up to length of 3 meters with a very high length-to-diameter ratios of 200:1.
The machine is equipped with precision drill guide bushing which contacts the workpiece and guides the BTA tool while drilling with proper coolant sealing .
The pressure head seals around the BTA tool and drill guide bushing, and allows the coolant around the outside of the tool for effective chip evacuation while BTA drilling.
The Vibration Dampeners support long rotating drills while transmitting torque, and holding the tool rigid for accurate drilling .
High power, torque precision, and low vibration are important for productive BTA drilling. The spindle transmits the power and torque from the motor, to the tool.
BTA drilling is used in oil and gas , defense and nuclear power industries because the extreme environments in these industries require precision seamless tubing on very difficult to drill materials.
The drilled holes have to be corrosion resistant and very concentric so they are able to withstand
scaling or rupture when subjected to high temperature and pressures .
